A student local to Brynmawr has been named ‘Learner of the Month’ by leading work-based training provider Educ8. A Care Worker from the Blaenau Gwent area has hung up his tabard for a week to participate in the BNB Arts and Heritage Festival across Brynmawr, Nantyglo and Blaina. ND Care & Support Brynmawr will be holding their first annual Pumpkin Carving Contest this coming Halloween. The contest is open to all care workers and Brynmawr office staff from across the region. Staff at New Directions took part in the annual Mr X Appeal, the appeal is a South Wales based charity which was founded over 50 years ago. Participants in the scheme are provided with the name and age and sex of a child who they then purchase a Christmas present for.
