Filled with pride to sponsor Gwent awards

ND Care & Support is thrilled to be the proud sponsor of this year’s Pride of Gwent awards

Hosted by South Wales Argus, the awards showcase the selfless people, groups and communities of Gwent. There are a total of 14 categories ranging from the Unpaid Carer Award through to the Charity Award.

“When we read through all of the categories, we felt we couldn’t choose just one to sponsor. Instead, by opting to be the headline sponsor of these awards, we can show our appreciation for those unsung heroes who are truly making a difference to the community, a day wholly dedicated to celebrating just them”, commented Becky Ford, Director of ND Care & Support.

“A trusted and recognised care provider in Gwent”

A registered member of the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), we have four registered offices in Abertillery, Cross Hands, Cardiff and Merthyr Tydfil but we operate across seven local authorities in South and Mid Wales including Bridgend, Caerphilly, Newport, the Vale of Glamorgan, Torfaen and Monmouth.

“ND Care & Support has been a trusted and recognised care provider in Gwent and the surrounding areas for over a decade and we only felt it was right to give something back to the county.

“Community is one of our company values and part of our ethos at ND Care & Support. We believe in supporting our local communities and with more than 57% of our service users living in Gwent and 55% of our workforce working and travelling within the area, it remains an important place for us”, added Becky.

Supporting vulnerable children and adults

The awards will take place on Thursday 7th December where the winners will be announced at a lavish ceremony in Newport’s Rodney Parade Stadium.

“We support many vulnerable children and adults in Gwent so when reading through the award categories such as Child of Courage, Unpaid Carer and Volunteer award, it’s moving to see that those nominated are being recognised who make a difference for our service users and the county they reside in.

“Good luck to all those nominated, we look forward to meeting you all at the awards ceremony in December”, concluded Becky.
