We’re thrilled to see one of our own recognised by the West Wales Health & Care Awards 2021.

Based at our Cross Hands branch, Eniko Acatalinei is one of just three people to be shortlisted for the Care Hero Award.

Now in its fourth year, the awards celebrate the outstanding work, care, innovation and services provided in West Wales, and those people who make a difference on a daily basis.

Rebecca Ford, Director of ND Care & Support, said:

“We’re really proud of Eniko, she really deserves this recognition and we couldn’t be happier for her. Having joined us in 2018, Eniko has been able to pass on her wealth of experience and knowledge, which has been a huge benefit to the people we care for and their communities.

“It’s hard to give an accurate number for how many people Eniko has cared for because she’s been in the care industry for 20+ years. However, we can be sure she has touched the lives of over 1,000 individuals and their families, helping them to live independent, safe and fulfilled lives.”

The awards ceremony will be held via virtual broadcast on Thursday 9 December 2021.

Hussain Bayoomi, Managing Director of organisers Newsquest Wales, said:

“Together we will continue to shine a light and to honour our country’s incredible Health & Care workers who are at the heart of our communities.

“We want to celebrate all those that have risen to the challenge of the past few months, overcoming adversity, showing tremendous strength, courage, compassion, and tenacity.”
