Job Description
Helping a lovely gentleman live life his way!
Hours: 7:00am – 10:30am (including some weekends) + additional hours providing similar Care and Support with other Clients.
At ND Care & Support, care isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are.
We believe that true care comes from the heart. It’s the gentle reassurance in a quiet moment, the warmth of a familiar smile, and the unwavering presence when someone needs it most. We’re not just a care provider—we’re a family of compassionate individuals devoted to uplifting lives across Wales.
Every visit, every conversation, every act of kindness—no matter how small—has the power to change someone’s world.
We’re looking for someone kind, patient, and genuinely caring to support a gentleman in Ammanford who’s living with mental health challenges and a brain injury. He’s independent and enjoys his own space, but needs a bit of help in the mornings to get set up for the day.
This role is all about being a friendly face, offering gentle personal care, and helping him stay independent in his own home.
What you’ll be doing:
Helping with personal care in a respectful, gentle way
Supporting his morning routine
Being a calm, reassuring presence
Encouraging independence and wellbeing
Working as part of a small, supportive team
What we’re looking for:
Experience supporting people with mental health and brain injury
Someone who’s patient, understanding, and easy to talk to
A full UK driving licence and access to your own car
Willingness to work some weekends
What we offer:
Competitive Pay – Earn £14.12 per hour on weekdays and £14.68 on weekends, paid weekly (includes rolled-up holiday pay).
Travel Perks – Get paid for travel and waiting time (up to 30 minutes) and receive 40p per mile for mileage during support sessions.
Comprehensive Training – Join our 5-day paid Induction (paid out at national minimum wage, once you’ve completed your first 100 hours of work with us). Once you have completed your training, you begin your journey by buddying up with an experienced carer to help you settle in confidently.
We’ll pay for your Enhanced DBS check, Social Care Wales registration, and even give you a Blue Light Card—saving you over £70!
