The role involves helping with daily living tasks while building positive, meaningful companionship, and providing support, encouragement, and friendship to enhance her everyday life.

About The Role

At New Directions, we are thrilled to offer an opportunity to support a young lady to live as independently as possible in her own home. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a real difference and building a positive, supportive relationship.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience working within the mental health sector
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle with business insurance
  • Be caring and patient with the ability to build positive, supportive relationships
  • Have a person-centred approach to care and support
  • Have flexibility to work long shifts, afternoons and nights. Shifts and hours to be discussed at interview
  • Support and enable community access, encouraging participation in activities if desired
  • Offer positive reassurance when needed, while allowing appropriate space and independence
  • Support with domestic duties within the home, including, but not limited to, helping with meals, tidying, cooking, maintaining a comfortable living environment and helping with finances.
  • Must be comfortable around pets
