A full UK Driving License and access to your own car are essential for this role.

About The Role

At New Directions, we are thrilled to offer an opportunity to support a young lady to live as independently as possible in her own home. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a real difference and building a positive, supportive relationship.

We will cover the cost of your Social Care Wales registration fee and a Blue Light Card (We will reimburse you for the Blue Light Card and SCW registration fee on proof of purchase, once you have worked for us for more than four weeks). Work 100 Hours Earn a Bonus. Get Rewarded, Complete100 hours and qualify for a special incentive payment of £250 as recognition for your commitment and hard work. Enhanced DBS Reimbursed Complete 50 hours and we’ll refund the cost of your Enhanced DBS check (unless you already have a DBS on the Update Service). In addition, we offer ongoing training, career development opportunities and supportive management.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle with business insurance
• Be caring and patient with the ability to build positive, supportive relationships
• Have a person-centered approach to care and support
• Have flexibility to work long shifts, afternoons and nights. Shifts and hours to be discussed at interview
• Support and enable community access, encouraging participation in activities if desired
• Offer positive reassurance when needed, while allowing appropriate space and independence
• Support with domestic duties within the home, including, but not limited to, helping with meals, tidying, cooking, maintaining a comfortable living environment and helping with finances.
• Must be comfortable around pets
