What type of service does ND Care & Support provide?

We provide home and community-based services to both adults and children. Our services are tailored to meet your individual needs, so whether you require just an hour a week or you need a full time live-in carer, we can help. Our services include assistance with daily living, such as personal care, respite care and social support. Care can be long-term or just a temporary arrangement. Please feel free to get in touch, and we will be happy to help, with absolutely no obligation.

How much will it cost?

The cost of care services varies depending on which service you receive. There is also funding available to some people who have been assessed by a professional and identified as needing care. Whether you are a private customer or have funding towards your care, we can help.

What training do your staff undertake?

The care staff we employ will have received all the training required to carry out their duties to a high standard. As a minimum, our staff receive training in Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Manual Handling and Protection of Vulnerable Adults and Children. We also ensure that staff have specialist training in areas such as Dementia, Epilepsy and Medication Administration as and when required.

Where do you recruit from?

We pride ourselves on recruiting carers from within our local communities. We endeavour to recruit people with previous care work experience; however, all our staff undertake a thorough training and development programme. We believe that individuals with the right values and attitude are the most important qualities to look for when recruiting staff.

Are ND Care & Support staff police checked?

Yes – our staff are fully vetted and go through the Disclosure and Barring Service (formally known as a CRB) before being allowed to work with us. We take the safety of the people we care for very seriously and we have a very robust recruitment procedure which prospective staff must pass before being able to work with us. Our commitment to our customers is paramount. All staff receive ongoing training and supervision to ensure that best practice is maintained.

How long does care last for?

At ND Care & Support we are able to provide care throughout the year, and the duration of service will depend upon your requirements. Many of our service users have been receiving long-term care from us for a number of years, however, we are of course happy to provide the same standard of care for just a few days to suit your needs.

What do ND Care & Support Care Workers do?

Our Care Workes are there to help with your needs whatever they may be. You may require someone to help you with shopping and keeping your home tidy, or you may require more specialised care such as bathing and help with medication. Before any service is arranged, a dedicated Care Coordinator will spend time to plan your service with you and ensure that we match the most suitable Care Worker to you.

What do I do if something goes wrong?

ND Care & Support operates a 24-hour service, giving you access to help whenever you need it. Our out-of-hours service is staffed by your local Care Coordinators who are trained and knowledgeable individuals who can help you. We continually monitor the work of all our Care Workers and we will keep in regular contact with you to make sure you are satisfied with your service.  ND Care & Support will also provide you with our complaints procedure at the start of your care journey. The complaints procedure is simple to use and is a confidential process.
