New Directions Care & Support is a service provider that prides itself on helping the most vunerable members of the community. The service allows you or your loved one to have the same specialist care in your own home as you would in a residential unit.

We are also a major provider of care in Wales for younger members of the community who may have special care needs.

New Directions is also able to provide valuable support to your present carer, who may be a member of your family, to enable them to have a short break or holiday.

Personal care

Our care staff can provide you with a great deal of help with your personal care needs.

You may require help getting up in the morning or going to bed at night. You may also require assistance with washing, dressing and undressing going to the bathroom or general assistance around the house.

Help with Medication

Your carer can also assist you in helping to take any prescribed medication providing it has been prescribed for you by your GP.

Meal Preparation

New Directions carers can help prepare your meals: breakfast, mid-day meal, evening meal or supper, as well as snacks and drinks you may need during the day .Your carer can if required keep you company whilst you eat you meal.

Domestic and Home Help

It is also possible for your carer to help with light domestic tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, house cleaning, washing up and personal laundry.

They can also assist with managing your fuel supplies and light gardening duties. This is subject to certain restrictions.

Personal Affairs

It can be difficult managing personal affairs, such as birthdays, anniversaries and collecting your pension but these matters with your permission can also become the responsibility of your carer.

Pets

Sometimes pets can be very demanding but your carer can help to feed and exercise them.
